FAQs

Frequently Asked Question

Top questions we get asked as a drywall company.

1.What determines the cost of my drywall project?
Several factors determine the price of your drywall project, including the size of the area, ceiling height, job location and accessibility, whether you need patches or tie-ins to existing drywall/plaster, existence of archways, specialty windows, niches, etc.
2.What is drywall?
Drywall is a material used to cover wall and ceiling framing. It is gypsum, a very common material which is sandwiched between two layers of paper. Drywall is also called sheet rock, wallboard and gypsum board. (Drywall is the generic term, and Sheet Rock is a brand name of drywall – just like Kleenex is a brand of tissue). It is faster to install than plaster and more economical. It is generally not quite as nice and true as plaster, but the economy of the material makes it the top choice in most applications.
3.Can I get an accurate estimate over the phone?
We can provide phone estimates for drywall repair jobs, but with full drywall jobs, each project is different and will need to be estimated in person. A professional contractor needs to see the job and obtain accurate measurements in order to provide you with an accurate estimate for the entire job.
4. How can I prepare for an on-site visit?
Make a list of all the work you want done for each room or on the exterior of your home.
Choose colors and / or finishes.
Understand your project budget. We will customize the work to meet your specific budget.
Please allow for approximately one hour for the on-site visit.
5.Do you have references?
